Why come in

Sightlines are the thing photographs get wrong. A 20 mm slim-sliding interlock and a 52 mm bi-fold sightline look similar on a screen and nothing alike in a room. The same goes for the weight of a lift-and-slide leaf, the sound of a steel latch, and how a RAL grey reads in daylight against your floor sample. An hour here usually settles a specification that email has been circling for a fortnight.

What to bring5
  • Photographs of the openings

Taken square on from inside. Five minutes of phone photographs beats an hour of description.

  • Rough sizes

Width and height in millimetres for anything you are serious about.

  • Drawings, if they exist

Paper or a file on your phone. We can print at the showroom.

  • A material sample

Floor, worktop, brick, a paint card. Colour decisions go wrong in isolation.

  • Your constraint

The planning condition, the budget, the completion date. Whichever is fixed, say so at the start.

Showroom questions5
Will I be sold to?
No. The consultant answers questions, takes notes and, if you want, starts a quote. Nobody chases you afterwards more than once.
Do you have every product on display?
No showroom holds everything. The zones carry the systems people choose most often. Anything else comes out of the sample store as a corner section, or a full leaf if we know in advance.
Can my architect join?
Yes. Book the 90 minute slot and note it at step four, and the technical desk sits in with sections, Uw calculations and DWG files.
Can I bring children?
Yes. Tick the box so we set the visit up away from the glass wall and the open leaves.
I live too far to visit. What then?
Book a home consultation instead if you are within 120 road miles of Ealing. Beyond that, we run the same conversation over video and post samples.
